W/Ele Hydra Farming Build!!
For some people this is new, for others this is an old thing. I would like to say however i find it funner to do a W/Ele farm than the conventional W/Mo Farm.
I would like to give credit for this build to dont feel no pain for the idea of using riposte to farm the hydras. This is basically just a toss up for a variation on a farming build, but I can take on more than 10 hydras every single time.
Attributes:
12 Earth Magic
9 Strength +1
9 Tactics +1
Skills:
Obsidian Flesh [E]
Armor of Earth
Dolyak Signet
Healing Signet
Riposte
Flurry
Crystal Wave
Bonettis Defense (huge in case ur having trouble with energy)
Obsidian Flesh is VITAL to this builds survival. If you dont have it, go W/Mo.
You get 18 seconds of no spells being casted on u, allowing easy times in healing urself with healing signet. Its best in this build to alternate between Obsidian Flesh and Dolyak Signet so you never get knocked down and have reduced dmg. If not, then u have to take less on at a time (which i dont feel like doing! =P)
Healing Signet is vital too because it gives you back health. (no duh, but its the ONLY thing)
Riposte and Crystal Wave will be ur main sources of dmg.
bonettis defense is really just for energy (as they really arent doing much dmg to u with physical attacks- 0 or 1 to be precise)
Armor of Earth is on at ALL times. It gives you 53 armor at level 12. Thats a lot of damage reduction right there.
Enjoy!
*note- The pictures are not updated, as i added crystal wave in, but they are just there to give u proof that it does work.

probably if he does that he only has 2 worry when ob goes down for 12 secs before he can cast again. but thats prob plenty of time to kill most of em with this build

^You definetly do take more dmg without obsidian flesh on, but yes you still have dolyaks signet to use (which is why its good to use them seperately). The only thing i dont REALLY like about this build is the fact that crystal wave has a 20 second recharge, because if it didnt i could spam it really quickly because of bonettis defense which is easily charged by using flurry. The thing thats good about obsidian flesh is that u will probably be taking only around 75 dmg in a crowd of like 15 with it on...only because inferno doesnt directly target you, but that isnt what the hydras use for dmg anyway (fireball, METEOR- annoying and such). I just find it cool not having to farm with a W/Mo (which i used dont feel no pain's build, which i actually really liked). Crystal wave does so much dmg though, and is really good on taking on bigger mobs.
My point here is, you still wont get knocked down outside of obsidian flesh if you're using dolyak signet when Obsidian Flesh expires. The best time to heal urself is when ur in Obsidian Flesh. To farm trolls, i simply take out obsidian flesh and put in something like gladiators defense, although a W/Mo works better for troll farming.
I guess I should mention the sword and Shield im using just for thought:
Zealous Spatha of Swordsmanship (perfect mod for swordsmanship, although that makes no difference in this build, the zealous does though)
Thorgalls Shield (if you have malinons, USE IT!)

i run a build almost the same to this
Armor of Earth
Doylak Signet
Watch Yourself!
Gladiator's Defense {Elite}
Bonetti's Defense
Healing Signet
Crystal Wave
Cyclone axe/Obsidian Flame (depends on size of group)
run with shield or scroll for nrg
and don't realy see the need for Obsidian Flesh seem like a waste of an elite, because they are hardly doing any dmg and you aren't being knocked down

I need that elite specifically because the minimum i like taking on now are 10 hydras. Of course, the hard part is grouping them together, but thats my personal opinion. I will try yours though, and see how it works for me.

I had experimented with an Obsidian Flesh build some time back, but I was using an Earth Rod for ranged damage and Earth spells + Riposte for damage when they got close in. Been thinking about revisiting that and buying a Galigord's Stone Staff for the 20/20/20 it has, not to mention +15 energy. If I go that route, I'll post results of it here.

I just recently changed back from W/Mo to my origonal W/E. I've been thinking of a similar build, but instead using earth shaker and aftershock. Maybe replace obisian flesh and riposite. Sure you lose some defense, but since you have +50 from AoEarth, and +25-30 with doylak I think you'll be ok. plus earth shaker should give you plenty of adrenaline to throw up bonettis, then by the time that bonettis is down again you can use earth shaker again. Gonna give it a try tonight.

Do you guys think a W/E would be any good for running? I considered something along the lines of windborne speed, magnetic aura, and swirling aura, in addition to warrior skills of course. Think that would have any success?
